Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
FirstCustomer ("we", "us") is an idea-validation tool: you describe a business idea, and the product researches public web and social content to surface real people talking about that problem, then helps you track them as prospective customers. This page explains what personal data we collect to run that product, why, and how you can get it deleted.
Who this covers
This policy covers the FirstCustomer web app at app.firstcustomer.net, the Android app distributed via Google Play, and the iOS app distributed via the Apple App Store — one product and one account on three platforms. It does not cover third-party sites we link to or that our research pulls excerpts from (e.g. Reddit, Hacker News, X/Twitter).
Data we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your email address, display name, and profile photo URL
- Your Google account ID (used as your unique login identifier — we never see or store your Google password)
When you sign in with Apple (iOS app), we receive and store:
- Your email address — either your real address or, if you choose Hide My Email, a private relay address generated by Apple (it ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com and forwards to your real inbox). We treat a relay address like any other email address; if you turn off forwarding in your Apple Account settings, we can no longer reach you through it
- Your name, only if you choose to share it (Apple provides it just once, the first time you sign in)
- Your Apple user identifier (used as your unique login identifier — we never see or store your Apple password)
When you use the product, we store:
- The idea descriptions and prompts you write, and every message you send in the AI chat (plus the AI's replies) — these are sent to our AI provider to generate responses and are stored so your chat history persists
- Research results our pipeline generates for your idea: excerpts, quotes, and links from public posts and comments (Reddit, Hacker News, X/Twitter, and general web search), matched to your idea
- Prospective-customer records: public usernames and public post history our pipeline identifies as relevant to your idea (this is public social-media data about third parties, not personal contact information you upload) — plus your own outreach notes and status (contacted, replied, etc.)
- Tasks and to-dos you create or that the product generates for you
- In-app notifications (e.g. "your research finished")
- Billing information if you subscribe: your selected plan, payment transaction references, and receipts. We do not collect or store your card or bank account numbers ourselves
- Basic product-usage telemetry (which screens/features you use, at an event level tied to an internal account ID) — this never includes your email, name, or free-text content you typed
When you use the iOS or Android app, we also process:
- App and device information: platform (iOS or Android), app version, a session identifier, and an app-instance identifier generated by our analytics tool (Firebase Analytics). We do not collect or use your advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)
- Approximate location (country/region level) that Firebase Analytics infers from your IP address. We do not request or collect your precise (GPS) location
- Subscription and purchase data: which plan you bought, subscription status and renewal date, and store transaction references, received from Apple or Google Play through RevenueCat. Apple and Google process the payment; we never receive your card or store payment details
- Usage events (which screens and features you use). On mobile these go to our own servers and to Amplitude, tied to your internal account ID, and to Firebase Analytics, tied to the app-instance identifier above. They never include your email, name, or free-text content you typed
No tracking or advertising
We don't show ads, we don't use your data for advertising, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites or share your data with data brokers. For that reason the iOS app does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
How we use it
We use this data to run the product: sign you in, generate research for your ideas, power the AI chat, run your subscription and billing, notify you when a run finishes, and understand which features are used so we can improve the product.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use the following service providers to run the app, each only for the purpose below:
- Google — Sign-In / identity verification
- Google Cloud (Vertex AI / Gemini) — powers the AI chat: your chat messages are sent to Google's model to generate a reply
- Tavily and Exa — web search APIs used to find public posts relevant to your idea
- X (formerly Twitter), via xAI's API — used on paid plans to search public X posts relevant to your idea
- Reddit (via a third-party public-archive service) and other public forums — sourced for publicly posted content relevant to your idea
- Cloudflare — hosts the app, our API, and our database
- Amplitude — product analytics, identified only by an internal account ID, never your email or name
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, and App Store payments and subscription management for purchases made in the iOS app
- Google Play — payments and subscription management for purchases made in the Android app
- RevenueCat — subscription management: receives your internal account ID and your App Store / Google Play purchase and subscription status so we can unlock the right plan
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — product analytics in the iOS and Android apps, configured without advertising identifiers; Google Analytics on our websites
- Google Gemini, Anthropic, and OpenAI — third-party AI providers that process your idea descriptions and chat messages; see “AI processing and your consent” below
AI processing and your consent
FirstCustomer's idea chat, research scoring and message drafting are powered by third-party AI providers. When you use these features, the following is sent to them through their APIs:
- What: your idea descriptions and prompts, the messages you send in the AI chat, and text derived from them — for example search queries generated from your idea and excerpts of the public posts being scored or used to draft a message
- To whom: Google (Gemini), Anthropic, and OpenAI
- Why: to write chat replies, research your idea, score the signals we find, and draft outreach messages for you
We send each provider only what is needed for the feature, and we don't sell this data or use it for advertising. Each provider handles the data under its own API terms and privacy policy.
iOS and Android: before anything you type is sent, the app shows a screen that names these providers and asks for your explicit permission (“Agree and continue”). If you choose “Not now”, nothing is sent and the AI features can't be used. To withdraw your consent at any time, email support@justvible.app (subject “Withdraw AI consent”) from the address on your account. We record the withdrawal within 7 days; the next time you sign in, the app asks for your permission again and sends nothing until you agree. To stop sending right away, log out of the app.
Web app: the same processing happens when you submit an idea or chat message. You can stop at any time by not using those features, and you can ask us to delete your data (see “Deleting your account” below).
International data transfers
FirstCustomer and the service providers listed above may process your data in countries other than your own, including the United States. We rely on those providers' contractual and security safeguards when your data is transferred.
Data retention
We keep your account and product data for as long as your account is active. Some records — such as payment receipts — may be kept longer where we're required to for accounting or legal reasons, even after you delete your account. See how to delete your account for what happens to your data when you delete it.
Deleting your account
iOS and Android: you can delete your account yourself in the app — open Settings → Delete account, read what will be removed, and type DELETE to confirm. Deletion happens immediately and you are signed out. You do not need to email us.
Deleting your account permanently deletes:
- Your profile: email, name, avatar, and the link to your Google or Apple sign-in
- Your ideas, chats, and research runs
- Your signals, prospective-customer records, outreach notes, and drafted messages
- Your tasks, notifications, and your plan and usage records on our side
Payment receipt records are anonymized and the remaining accounting record is kept, and aggregated or anonymized analytics may be retained — see what we keep, and for how long.
Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google will keep billing you until you cancel it yourself. The app reminds you before you confirm. Cancel in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) or in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).
Sign in with Apple: if you signed in with Apple, we also revoke FirstCustomer's Sign in with Apple token with Apple when your account is deleted, so the app no longer has access to your Apple sign-in.
Web app: email support@justvible.app from the address you signed up with and we will complete the deletion within 30 days — see Delete your account.
Your choices
You can request a copy of your data or request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@justvible.app — see Delete your account for the full process. You can also stop using the app at any time by simply not signing back in.
You can withdraw your consent to AI processing at any time by emailing support@justvible.app (see “AI processing and your consent” above). If you use Hide My Email, you can stop Apple forwarding messages to you in your Apple Account settings.
Children
FirstCustomer is a business tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect data from, children under 13.
